Skills for Life
The Skills for Life department within the College offers a variety of courses to both 16-18 year olds and 19+ students. These include:
- Part time and full time ESOL programmes (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
- A programme designed for students with severe Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
- Entry Level vocational courses, for students whose Literacy and Numeracy skills are not at the right level to get onto their preferred vocational course
- Adult Basic Skills in Literacy and Numeracy
- Entry to Employment (E2E) courses offer opportunities for those students who have been out of education or training
All of these courses, once completed, can lead to getting a place on a course offered in 6F, Croydon Skills and Enterprise College or Croydon Higher Education College.
Skills for Life also includes the Learning Support area. This area offers
specific support for students who have Learning Difficulties or Disabilities,
and for those students who need a little extra help with their Literacy
and Numeracy. See our pages on personalising
your studies for further information.
