‘One-Stop-Shop’ for your Training Needs

We recognise that in the fast pace of today’s commercial world, everything is becoming more technical and impersonal, and that it’s hard to discuss your training needs with computerised call centres. Croydon Skills & Enterprise College offers a one-stop-shop approach via Business Solutions our business development unit.

We can help you identify your organisation’s training needs and then source the appropriate training solution from the College’s extensive range of products and services.

We have a team of Business Development Advisers, who have experience of working closely with local employers and who understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships. This means that employers, however large or small, can rely on the continual support of their Business Development Adviser to identify their training needs, source appropriate programmes, and often funding to subsidise costs.
You will be allocated one our Advisers which will enable you to have a single key contact within the college.

And this service is completely free!

Training Delivery Modes

We can provide effective business solutions by offering different modes of delivery which are designed to meet your requirements including:

'Short Courses' - We offer an extensive selection of courses designed specially for employers including Management, IT and Health & Safety. These courses are usually held at the College located in Croydon and typically last one or two days.

'Bespoke Courses' - Where a training need has been identified which is not in our standard range we can design a course specifically for you. This can be delivered where you like and at a time that suits you.

‘Curriculum Courses’ - Being part of a further education college we can help you choose the most appropriate courses for your employees from the wide range on offer from Croydon College.

Train to Gain

The Government is responding to the national skills deficit by directing their focus to ensure that employers are given opportunities to skill their workforce to maximise their productivity and competiveness. Through additional funding streams there are positive solutions to support training demand identified as a priority for London. This initiative is called 'Train to Gain'.

Train to Gain is a new service run by the Learning & Skills Council (LSC), the organisation responsible for delivering the Government’s skills strategy for England. This new service will assist employers by providing funding to help your employees gain their first, full Level 2 qualification

The Train to Gain Service is designed to help businesses like yours solve the problems you might face when thinking about identifying training needs and choosing the right Business Solutions.

Businesses across England whether small, medium or large can access the Train to Gain services, regardless of size, sector, or ownership including charitable organisations.

Public Sector organisations may also be eligible providing no other funding stream is being accessed.
Your employees must have a contract of employment or terms & conditions of employment in place.
