Health, Social Care, Childhood and Community Studies is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, humorous and committed trainer to provide experiential learning experiences for students following a range of health, social care and community studies.

1 FTE Lecturer in Functional Skills (Literacy/Numeracy)

Up to £32,838 (Full Time Equivalent) per annum inclusive of London Weighting
 
Ideally you will have experience of working within a similar subject department but this is not essential. What is essential is a desire to make learning fun and real for our students as is the ability to work with a diverse team of subject specialists.

Qualified to Level 4, you will be a trained teacher or be committed to undertake appropriate teacher training upon commencement of employment. We welcome applications from experienced, graduates and newly qualified teachers or those with industry specific qualifications and experience.

Sessional Lecturers

Salary within the range of £18,396 to £27,727 p.a. including Outer London weighting dependent on qualifications and experience

We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individuals to work as sessional lecturers within the following departments:

  • Business and IT
  • Health, Care and Childcare
  • Hairdressing
  • Sport and Travel

Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering programmes across levels 1-3 on full time vocational courses. Reporting to the Curriculum Coordinator, you will be committed to promoting excellence in the quality of standards of teaching and learning within one of the top performing colleges in London. 
Relevant level three qualifications are essential as a minimum in your subject, together with suitable experience in industry.  In addition, a recognized teaching/assessing qualification is desirable but can be gained once employment has commenced. As a member of the team you will be required to demonstrate excellent teaching and communication skills, a clear understanding of current and future curriculum developments and the ability to implement quality assurance procedures. In addition you will posses excellent organisation and course management skills as the post could also involve tutorial responsibilities.

SEC Hospitality Department is seeking an enthusiastic person who is interested in food and has worked in a safe food environment. The ideal candidate will be IT literate and organised and have experience of working in Stock Control. An NVQ 2 qualification or equivalent in Food Preparation and cooking is essential. 

As a member of the Hospitality team you will be required to demonstrate an understanding of stock control and computerised ordering systems, as well as good knowledge and understanding of food safety legislation. You will become part of a vibrant college department, support students in their learning environment and lead a team to help support a successful department.

The Department of Visual & Performing Arts & Media at Croydon College are seeking sessional lecturers to join its successful and expanding Performing Arts and Music Technology curriculum areas. The department delivers vocational BTEC National Diplomas, BTEC First Diplomas in Performing Arts and Music Technology at levels 2 and 3. We are seeking motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individuals to work as sessional lecturers within the following skills areas:

  • Singing / Musical Theatre
  • Music Technology

Reporting to the Curriculum Coordinator, you will be committed to promoting excellence in the quality of standards of teaching and learning within one of the top performing colleges in London.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with a passion for outstanding quality in art & design education to manage the Vocational Art & Design curriculum area within Visual & Performing Arts and Media at Croydon 6th Form College.

You will be a qualified Art & Design teacher with a broad range of experience across all levels in Further Education. You will have had successful experience managing aspects of curriculum design and delivery. You will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to inspire others and a commitment to continued improvement in success for all.

You will lead a dedicated and focused team who are keen to build on existing strengths in teaching and learning in developing and sharing innovative and exciting pedagogy in order to enhance the quality of student experience. In addition to curriculum responsibility you will also line manage pastoral responsibility for tutorial groups within the Vocational Art & Design curriculum area.  Vocational Art & Design programmes at Croydon 6F include BTEC Introductory (level 1) and First (level 2) Diplomas in Art & Design and National Diploma (level 3)in Art & Design.
